Midwife and Antenatal Instructor

Sarah is a passionate and dedicated mom and midwife. With an avid interest in both antenatal and postnatal care, her drive and motivation are stimulated by the diverse cases of mothers and babies she has treated and engaged with over the past 12 years in various healthcare facilities in South Africa. Sarah believes that pregnancy and motherhood is an individualised beautiful unique experience for all women, therefore, her key goal is to simulate a stress-free supportive environment for all moms.

Midwife, Antenatal Instructor and IBCLC

Ingrid is a Registered Nurse and Independent Midwife, Childbirth educator and an IBCLC. She has been in the field of midwifery for the last 2 and half decades. After seeing a need for working with pregnant, birthing, and young families, she continued her education in Advanced Midwifery and neonatology. Ingrid then started working in private practice, serving a big geographical area offering antenatal and postnatal care, midwife-led births, and baby clinic services. Being incredibly passionate about education, Ingrid is determined to help empower pregnant couples for their birth as well as into parenthood.

Breastfeeding is also a topic close to her heart and has been an IBCLC for 19 years, teaching, helping, and supporting new families with breastfeeding. Ingrid feels privileged to be able to work her passion and to meet and get to know so many couples in a very special part of their lives.

Midwife and Antenatal Instructor

Celeste has been a midwife for over 15 years. Having lectured midwifery students from the start of her career, clinically (in labour wards, antenatal and postnatal wards) as well in the lecture halls, Celeste’s passion lies in antenatal and postnatal childbirth education classes. Her belief is that knowledge is power and that if you fully understand the events leading up to childbirth, this takes the “fear of the unknown” out of the equation, giving you a well informed and calculated decision during this exciting time of your life.
Along with being an experienced Midwife and Instructor, Celeste is also a mom to two adult daughters.

Here at The Baby Academy we are looking to grow our team so that we can empower as many mothers and fathers as possible.
